I often wonder when you cross over from "persistent" to "pest".  I've found with clients, if I try to call three times over a period of days, they don't want to talk to me.  I get "the hint".  Same with emails.  If I generate a manual email to check in and get no response back, I might try once or twice more then, I get it.  For this I have been called "passive" or "non-aggressive".  I think I prefer that to being likened to a used car salesman that pesters a potential client to the point of them walking away just to get away.

When your home is on the market though...how many agents are going to try to show your home more than once or twice when you say "no, today is not a good day"?  I tried recently to show a home. That is what I heard the first request.  Then I got another no two days later citing something to do with the alarms.  They requested I schedule it to show on Monday.  Yep, they declined me today to.  No real reason this time.  Just, "No more showings."

My recommendation:  Even if you are not accessible, when your home is on the market, make your home accessible!  My buyers and I will move on to others tomorrow.  There is the danger of saying no to a showing.  They may see another home and buy it before they can ask again to see yours.  Always your choice in the end though!
