My New Blog

I was out showing some buyers homes recently and we walked into a two story home that had a sloped driveway and yard. From the outside, they were not loving the house. When I opened the door, there was a pleasant candle aroma, soft music playing and a very clean house. Their attitude immediately altered. The outside was forgotten and the comments became very positive.

I know we talk about "De-clutter, de-clutter, de-clutter", depersonalizing your space and opening up the shades for extra light but this was perfect. Unfortunately, the space (or lack thereof) upstairs started the negative comments again but the time on the main floor was very positive.

Avoid hard rock, rap and even country, I know, I love my country music as much as the next guy! This should be unassuming easy listening, instrumental music. This particular home had piano music. So, set your home's mood with music and let's see if you don't sell a little sooner!

Good Luck and Happy Selling!
